Start with one visual direction

A strong home screen usually comes from restraint: one icon language, one type style, a small color palette, and a wallpaper that gives widgets room to breathe.

Most modern Android phones can coordinate system colors from the wallpaper. Add a launcher only when you need more control over grids, gestures, icon shapes, or the app drawer.
